Ortonville Farmer’s Market: Make sure to bring your little ones to Ortonville Farmer’s Market this summer. The Farmer’s Market will be held at Lakeside Park on Saturday mornings beginning in June.
Pop-in and Play at the Park: This is unstructured play time where your children will have the opportunity to play with other kids. The park is always open, but if you are looking for a play-date, this is the time to come. There will even be a Tuesday or two when snacks and/or books will be available.

Tot Swim: Tot Swim is free and open to families with children ages 0-5. Older siblings are welcome to attend.

Music in the Park: Bring the whole family to Central Park to enjoy Music in the Park. Schwan’s ice cream will be available with a free will offering. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy.

Cornfest: Join us for the 73rd annual Cornfest.

Kiddie Parade: Children of all ages welcome. Kids are encouraged to dress up and decorate wagons, bikes or trikes. Kids do not have to be dressed up to participate. Cash prizes will be awarded for the top three “best dressed,” and all kids who participate will get a book and ice cream token. There will be a Kiddie Parade awards ceremony immediately following the parade, followed by children’s musician Will Hale at 10:30. These events are sponsored by the Ortonville Early Childhood Initiative and the Chamber of Commerce.

Playhouse Raffle: The winner of the 2nd Annual Playhouse Raffle will be announced on KDIO Radio on Monday, August 22. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at Hardware Hank. All proceeds from this raffle benefit the Ortonville Early Childhood Initiative.
3rd Annual Stroll for Epilepsy:
Where: Toqua Park in Graceville, MN

Time: 4:00-6:00 p.m.
Bullying: Breaking the Cycle of Violence: Resource Training & Solutions and the St. Cloud Diocese are hosting an event to address the issue of bullying. They are bringing Barbara Coloroso, a nationally known author, to St. Cloud to speak to the entire community. They are hoping to reach out to parents, educators, and high school students to address this growing topic of concern in our schools. DREAM for Kids is hoping to get a bus to go down to the event and back.

Tina Feigel Seminar: The Twin Cities’ own Supernanny, as seen on KARE 11 TV, Youth Parent and Teacher Coach Tina Feigal, M.S., Ed., presents the seminar “Transforming the Challenging Child: The Nurtured Heart Approach.” This presentation is for parents, teachers, caregivers, and others who work with youth.
